Saliva Testing is a Simple Way to Determine if you Have Aggressive Bacteria in the Mouth
This is common in periodontal disease. If you have the bacteria profile of the ‘red complex’ for instance– aggressive bacteria in the oral cavity you will have basically a front line drum beat for all other bacteria both good and bad to simply march to, or follow in the aggressive ‘red complex’ bacteria pattern. This can be detrimental to the periodontium- the bone and gums. If we test for this bacteria it may indicate the need for twin laser therapy to help eradicate this aggressive bacteria.
